I’m happy it wasn’t called the iSlate. Reminds me of something that’s archaic or “so simple a cave man could use it.”
This product is definitely designed for someone like me. I carry a laptop and a Kindle DX daily to and from work. I also have an iPod and IPhone. I could easily eliminate the Kindle DX leaving the laptop at home. if I had the iPad I would still carry the iPod and IPhone since I like that I can carry all my music and podcast on the iPod for the drive portion of my commute and need the iPhone for the phone. The email/ebooks/intenet access on the train portion of the commute and while I’m at work will be all iPad.
The fact that it is so light weight, about the size of my Kindle DX, and provides the same functionality as the Kindle and my laptop blows me away.
